Tendrils
Bite that soft spot between my neck
And my shoulder
Let your tendrils burrow through my veins
Making their way into my heart
Plant a seed into my mouth
With a kiss
Intertwine your legs with mine
Let’s grow roots together
At least for tonight.
When the day breaks through
Plant me in the garden of your
memory.
As the years go by I will become a tree
To shade you
From the hot light of the sun
That fades all things
